My family moved to London 20 years ago today!

Although to be fair, the only people that have really lived there 20 years are Mum and Dad. Weird to think I bailed 8 years ago.

one step forward, two steps back

We painted our living room. Again.

This time the color is much prettier and on its own I quite like it....Now it just clashes with all the furnishings that I have in that room.

New solution: Ignore the living room and vow to never paint anything ever again!

We painted our living room what we thought was gray.

It looks decidedly purple.

Color is tricky (read: RIDICULOUS).

nicki gets to have all the fun

today i had to go to the dentist to get my first ever cavities filled.

there were no fun relatives and no horses involved.

so unfair.

Who says you can't surf in Texas?

We went to the beach this weekend with our surfer friends to see their kids compete in a surf competition (Ten Over is their clothing line) . Then we had a go...

Am I too old for this?

When I was 5 and my cousin Cindy was 6, we got matching ruffle skirts.

I really loved my ruffle skirt.

This week when I was shopping, I found a ruffle skirt and just couldn't resist...

...but tell the truth -- am I too old to wear a ruffle skirt?
