Today I had to call my work and tell them I would be in late...because I forgot my shoes.

I love Valentine's Day.

This year TJ turned gourmet chef and made seared tuna with roaster red pepper and spinach pilauf.

What's not to love?!

Something you shouldn't try

I found a recipe online for raspberry lemonade cupcakes and for some reason I thought that sounded sooooo yummy.

So I made them.

Here's the thing: The key ingredient was Crystal Light. Crystal Light is like Kool-Aid for adults. So basically I made Kool-Aid cupcakes.

Like that was going to turn out well.

The way its supposed to work

Joy and Mama Kong threw the best Chinese New Year's party.

We brought along the sky lanterns from TJ's party to help celebrate - with the express understanding that after we handed them over, we had no responsibility for anything that happened!

This time they went up up into the sky without event, but I still had anxiety the entire time.

Nicki got married!

Little Nicki got married. The sister that wouldn't ever admit it when she had a boyfriend. The sister who loves attention of any kind - EXCEPT about her love life.

We had a whole day devoted just to that - and just this once, she didn't seem to mind the attention.

Nicki wanted the guys in tails (its an English tradition). Kevin agreed on the condition that he could have the top hat as well. I'm not sure how he snuck the cane in.

Christmas at the Saltzman's

Right after Christmas we headed up to Utah (where else?!) to have Christmas 'take two' with the Saltzmans. There was loads of lovely new snow waiting for us to play in.

We just saw the culprit. It was sitting on the fence in the backyard.
