A Year of Wells

As all good things do, this started off as a joke. Before Wells, TJ always talked about how we needed a kid to dress up on Halloween. Then Wells was born in December and we decided that Halloween was much too far away - we should dress him up for every holiday. Why not one each month? That turned into a secret calendar project for the grandparents' Christmas presents and for the last 9 months (we didn't think of it till March) I've been putting Wells in holiday themed outfits and attempting photo shoots for our Year of Wells calendar.

January 1st - New Year's Day

February 14th - Valentine's Day

March 17th - St. Patrick's Day

April 1st - Easter

Hello handsome

He doesn't have to stand quite as high on his tip toes to see out the window these days.

Rocks

We've got a lovely garden with grass and toys, but he mostly just likes to hide round the back of the shed and play with (eat) the rocks.

Only one

Sometimes I forget this big fearless boy of mine just barely turned one and I send him down giant slides all by himself. In my defense...he wanted to?

The other side of the cake smash

Cake Smash

No one had to explain to him how this part of his birthday was supposed to work.

He's 1

He got the hang of presents eventually. Sort of. But its true what they say - kids just want the packaging.
