A long weekend in NYC and a whole lot of selfies

A morning in Hermann Park

We spent Monday eating French Toast, running around Hermann Park, bowling for pigeons and riding the train (Wells kept his excitement about this one on the inside).

Splash pads and Shwarma

The downtown spash pad is across the street from a really great specialty foods market so my favorite outing right now is splashing for Wells followed by Shwarma for us. This time we started with gelato too - it was a special occasion, Nicki was here. 

 

 

Friday

Friday I got a text sending me to a clue that started a scavenger hunt around the Heights. Clues written in rhyme sent me on a tour of 'our' spots, each with a present and the next clue waiting for me. The last brought me back home where I found a large (but not that large) box on the porch. The next thing I knew Nicki was jumping out and throwing glitter confetti and I got to keep her for a whole weekend. We started off with dinner out and didn't stop till eating till she left.

That last post reminded me of another pic that needed to make it on to the blog. First outing to a splash pad. It took him a minute to warm up to the idea....
