I've been trying, unsuccessfully, to interest TJ in new living room furniture for a very long time. I finally realized I've been approaching it all wrong: Show him pictures on design blogs for ideas and pictures on websites for options - not going to do it. Ask for a to-scale drawing of the room complete with interchangeable furniture options and he's all in. Note to self: The answer is always graph paper.

you should introduce him to the program "sketch up" on the computer. Chris has made a to scale model of our new house so we can arrange the furniture in it. I will never understand the male mind.
Don't forget the compass and protractor!
Just wait till you want to landscape your backgarden, then he will be able to put that degree to some good use.
