Am I too old for this?

When I was 5 and my cousin Cindy was 6, we got matching ruffle skirts.

I really loved my ruffle skirt.

This week when I was shopping, I found a ruffle skirt and just couldn't resist...

...but tell the truth -- am I too old to wear a ruffle skirt?

We haven't been doing very well in our attempts to rid the attic of whatever it is that likes to thump around up there. Its an ongoing problem.

But tonight we had a little victory.

We heard a thump under the house (= something got zapped by TJ's contraption) and TJ ran out to see a racoon hanging about....so he chucked a shoe at it and it dashed under the porch again. We thought it was fighting something under the porch - amazing amounts of growling and thrashing were going on. Then TJ stuck his face under there (yeh, I know) and saw it tangled up in our electric fence. Two minutes later it was free and long gone.

Hopefully its smart enough to remember that little experience and stay far, far away.

Finally

This little beauty took far longer to make than I care to admit. It may also have far more mistakes in it than I care to admit. But its finished! And its on its way to the cutest little Ava ever. Hopefully she'll be nice enough to model it for us once it arrives.
