sugar cookies take 2

Last time I attempted these there were a few issues. Now that some time has passed, I'm willing to admit there may have been some baker error. I enlisted another helper (a must) and tried again. Maybe after a few more holidays we'll have these things figured out.

snow day

houston is having a snow day today. the fact that it never actually snowed is not important. so we are stuck at home snuggled on the couch watching old movies this morning. does it get any better than that?

trade-offs

This cold snap is one of those times its definitely less awesome to have a 100 year old house.

After a month of yoga, look what I can do!

For context - before I started I could only stretch as far as my upper shins. On a good day. Hopefully after another month I'll have something slightly more impressive to share.

Hairspray Fail

Today I was told that my hairspray smelled like Chinese food.

That's going in the bin then.

more fried stuff

This time it was deep fried cinnamon-apple bread pudding with salted caramel sauce from a street food truck. mmmmmm. Makes me excited for the Rodeo to be back.
